Booking Fee
Your cake order will only be booked in and secured in my diary once your booking fee has been paid. This is a non-refundable booking fee. Wedding cake balance payment must be paid no later 4 weeks prior to delivery on the wedding date, or for celebration cake orders no later than 4 days before collection as agreed on booking.

Changes to Order
If you would like to make any changes to your cake order, please let me know as soon as possible. I will often order specialist items or personalised elements for your order, so late changes maybe subject to an additional cost.

Collection
If you wish to collect your cake order, you must keep to the agreed date and time. Once collected, the order becomes your responsibility. We cannot be held responsible for any damages caused to the cake(s) once it leaves our premises. Please see our transportation and storage advice for further guidance.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your order for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible. In the event of a cancellation by yourselves, charges are as follows;

More than sixty days prior to the date = booking fee only.
​
Sixty days to one calendar month prior to the date = booking fee plus half the remaining cost.
​
Less than one calendar month prior to the date = full amount
​
In the event of a postponement, the payment due remains the same as a cancellation. Subject to availability,we will carry the monies paid forward to your new date. Please be aware that we will only do this on one occasion. Any further postponements will be classed as a cancelation.

You may, prior to 6 weeks before the agreed date, amend or cancel your order by providing us with written notice. In the case of alterations, a new order confirmation will be issued detailing the changes and the new cost. Alterations are not confirmed until a new order confirmation has been issued. Should you make any changes after that time there will not be a reduction in the price you pay, even if your new design is cheaper than the original booking.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your order any monies paid will be refunded. The Cake Queen, Lincoln reserves the right to cancel, vary or suspend the operation of this contract if events occur which are in the nature of force majeure including (without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing): fire, floods, storm, plant breakdown, strike, lock outs, riot, hostilities, non-availability of materials or supplies or any other event outside the control of The Cake Queen, Lincoln, and The Cake Queen, Lincoln shall not be liable for any breach of contract resulting from such an event.

Photographs
We reserve the right to photograph your cake order before deliver/collection or on set up at a venue. We may use these photos for our own reference, portfolios and marketing purposes.

Release and Liability
We will work with you to ensure you are completely happy with your order. We shall not be held responsible for your cake order once collected or delivered. See our advice for transportation and storage for your cake.
